Earlier this month, Hailie Scott graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, Mich., and paid tribute to her parents, Em and Kim, on the Highest Honors newsletter.
Crediting them as the "most influential" people in her life, she wrote, “My mother and father are because they have pushed me to be the person I am and have given me all the support to achieve what I have."
Hailie, who listed her parents as “Marshall and Kimberly Mathers,” achieved the prestigious Summa Cum Laude status (3.9 or above Grade Point Average). The 18-year-old student has also been recognized with the Academic Excellence Award and Department of Psychology Award.
Activities she participated in throughout her high school journey included the National Honor Society, Art Club, Key Club, volleyball, and Student Council.

This fall, Hailie will continue her education at Michigan State University with hopes of pursing a degree in “psychology or entrepreneurship.”
As it is unknown whether or not Eminem attended her graduation, he did visit the school in October when she was crowned homecoming queen. A parent at the time said Eminem attended but watched "from inside the school because he didn’t want to cause a scene.”
